Latest News!

Spring is here! Now is the time to address all those projects you have been putting off. In otherwords, "Next season begins NOW!"

Fish Alaska Magazine (www.FishAlaskaMagazine.com) featured Ashbreez in their October/November 2017 issue! See Articles about Ashbreez

where you can download a copy of

the article.

If you want to stay current on what we are up to, Ashbreez is now on Facebook!  Here is our Facebook address:

Because we all have been using our boats, we have had things come up or go “bump in the night-or day.” Or, we have discovered things we would like to change or add: a repower from inboard to outboard because we are just flat-out tired of trying to fix that pesky gas inboard as its engine hours climb into the 1600-1900 range (We’ve been there/done that with our own boat a couple of years ago.); a heater to keep warm on wet days, cool nights, or even to extend our season into the early Fall for late-season fishing, deer hunting, etc.; repairs to the hull, deck, etc. from wear and tear; new bottom paint; additions such as a shorepower system, a new fridge, modifications to the interior to make it “just right.” All this, and more, are possibilities to explore as we begin to prepare our boats for layup and look forward to next season.

As you can see, we continue our ongoing collaboration with Armstrong Marine, Inc. (Port Angeles, WA). Looking to  build your dream aluminum boat either a Resurrection Series catamaran or a St. Elias Series monohull. Check out the bare hull building process and the results here on the home page! The latest is a St. Elias 28. It is for sale at $189,900! You can see the entire build process for both vessels here:

Repowering Refits continue to be an ongoing theme. As you can see here on the homepage,  a 1986 Sea Sport Pilothouse is featured. Check it out! The owner also shared some of his initial data with us. And check out the other ones we have done on the Systems and Repowers page.

Refits continue to be a major theme across the U.S. (and globally, for that matter). So, if you love your current boat and the hull is sound and you really, in your heart of hearts, don’t want to give it up- but would like to improve it- consider full or partial refits, from motors to hull repaints, to deck reconditioning, to refurbishment/remodeling of the cabin interior. It is all possible, whether it is a kayak, a 22-footer or a yacht.

Check out every page on the site, as there are new project additions to just about every page! As a broad overview, projects have included continued work on an ADF&G research vessel, as they repair and maintain it for their continued water-based surveys in Prince William Sound and Kodiak Island waters. We have been assisting them over the past couple of years.

We have also been doing bottom painting, kayak to open-water rowing conversions (Small Boats/Kayaks), deck refurbishments and repairs (Bumps, Bruises, and Dings), upgrades for people who have purchased used boats and want to make it “theirs”(An Assortment of projects), hull repaints (Topsides Painting), and insurance repair claims, to name a few. And the brands have run the gamut, from home-built Tolmans to Alamar, North River, Sea Sport, Boulton, Boston Whaler, Glacier Craft, Ranger Tugs,Hewescraft, Osprey, Kingfisher, Necky Kayaks... the list goes on.

So, whatever your need and wants, from exploring the possibility of commissioning your very own boat or meeting your needs with your current boat, we are here to serve you.

Enjoy checking out our website!
